Alissa is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington (#LH 60901996). Alissa received her Bachelors of Science in Community Health from Western Washington University in the lovely Bellingham, WA. After working for several years as a youth mentor, educator, birth doula, and mountain guide in various non-profit settings, she returned to school and received her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology in Seattle, WA. Outside of Opal, Alissa has a private therapy practice in which she helps individuals work through anxiety, relational issues, body image, identity, and more. She is passionate about connecting individuals with their relationships to themselves, their bodies, food, and wild and authentic nature. If she is not working, Alissa seeks to spend time with loved ones, outdoors, and with her hands busy creating anything from pottery to homemade bread.
