Health at Every Size (HAES) Support Group: 10-week group with education, process, and experiential activities focused on HAES principles. Potential members should be interested in moving away from a diet and weight-focused approach to health. Individuals of all sizes are welcome to join. Eating Disorder Treatment Groups: Opal offers one outpatient therapy group that is led by Tahney Jones, LMHC, CEDS and Carter Umhua, LMHCA— Opal staff members. Group meeting times change with each group’s needs. $50/session. Insurance accepted. These groups are for individuals that are seeking a group component to their overall treatment. Re-Thinking Exercise + Sport Process Group: Re-Thinking Exercise+Sport Process group uses a combination of psychoeducation, process and experiential modalities to explore disordered thoughts and behaviors around exercise in order to move towards a position of greater health and freedom. Teaching topics include: human needs, identity, compulsivity, rigidity, body shaping, sports nutrition, HAES and attuned eating principles in the context of exercise and sport. Radically Open DBT Skills Class: Twice weekly class to help individuals grow their knowledge of Radically Open DBT skills. Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Opal: Food+Body Wisdom. The complete class is a 30-week commitment. People can start at various times and then will complete the full 30-week cycle. Outpatients will join PHP and IOP clients for this class.
