Emily Smith, MSW, LICSW (LW61468389) is an intake specialist, anti-diet advocate, book lover and novice knitter.
A native to the Seattle area, Emily pursued the culinary arts and nutrition (earning a BS in nutrition from Seattle Pacific University) before following her calling to the field of social work. Emily holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Washington and and is a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington state.
Emily’s years of experience in adolescent residential eating disorder treatment began with a desire to put her nutrition degree to use and became a place for her to witness incredible resilience, growth, and all around silliness. A lover of all things paperwork, Emily has found a home in the Intake Department at Opal where she can continue to connect with clients and maintain an impressive cache of office supplies.
