Emily Smith, MSW, LSWAIC (SC61108491) is an intake specialist, anti-diet advocate, book lover and novice knitter.
A native to the Seattle area, Emily pursued the culinary arts and nutrition (earning a BS in nutrition from Seattle Pacific University) before following her social justice calling to the field of social work. Emily holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Washington and is currently working toward independent clinical licensure.
Emily’s years of experience in adolescent residential eating disorder treatment began with a desire to put her nutrition degree to use and became a place for her to connect with others and witness incredible resilience, growth, and all around silliness. A lover of all things paperwork, Emily has found a home in the intake department at Opal where she can continue to engage with others and maintain an impressive cache of office supplies.
