Opal is proud to sponsor this year’s Columbia River Eating Disorder Network event! This year CREDN is thrilled to be co-hosting an exciting CE and networking opportunity with IADEP. Dr. Ed Hamlin, Clinical Director of the Institute for Applied Neuroscience in Asheville, NC will be presenting his research, conducted at the Avalon Hills, on changes in the brain activity in people with eating disorders while in residential care. Dr. Hamlin has a particular interest in neuroplasticity and the potential for changing maladaptive brain organization patterns. This half-day event includes a lecture and networking lunch followed by a Q&A.

Dr. Ed Hamlin is a noted expert in the field of applied neuroscience. He specializes in techniques to help address a number of issues including attention problems, cognitive disorders, depression, anxiety, and problems associated with traumatic and acquired brain injuries. He also conducts quantitative EEG (brain mapping) assessments to help determine neurophysiological factors which may be related to problems an individual is experiencing. He is certified in EEG biofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance and a member of the American Psychological Association, the International Neuropsychological Society and the Association of Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback.
