Jessa (she / her) is a Registered Counselor Agency Affiliate in the state of Washington (#CG60944917). Jessa received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Seattle University.

Jessa entered the eating disorder advocacy world after beginning her own recovery journey and is deeply passionate about supporting others in their path to liberation and healing. She has worked across several levels of care in the Seattle area as well as in preventive and educational settings in public high schools. She strongly supports a Health at Every Size philosophy to eating disorder treatment and is continuously inspired by all of those working to integrate a HAES approach to health and well-being more broadly. Additionally, as someone who holds white, cis, and able-bodied identities, Jessa is committed to understanding how her privilege shows up, and the role it plays in her work to support and advocate for and with others.

Since moving to Seattle, Jessa has loved exploring the true epic-ness of the PNW with her loved ones and dog, Margeaux. She enjoys city-park picnics, coast trips, hikes, and summer swims in Lake Washington. She also loves spending time in her garden, baking bread, and pursuing her quest for the best local burrito (recommendations welcome).

Jessa’s areas of professional interest include: attachment, attuned/intuitive eating, depression/anxiety, Health at Every Size, systems of oppression, trauma, somatic psychotherapy, and women’s health.
