Amy Dowell, MD

Amy Dowell, MD (#MD60302208) is a Seattle native who received her bachelors degree at the University of Washington prior to moving to Saint Louis, Missouri to complete medical school. She then returned to Washington to complete her psychiatric residency training through the University of Washington. She has been in practice since 2009. Past experience includes inpatient treatment, community mental health, and college mental health at Gonzaga University. She is a courtesy clinical instructor for the University of Washington. Dr. Dowell has developed particular strengths in the areas of mental health issues in college students, women’s mental health, eating disorders, and complex psychiatric medication management. She has been with Opal since 2015.

Amy has professional interest and advanced training in: depression/ anxiety, OCD, student health, trauma, women’s health,  psychopharmacology.
