Alex is a Registered Counselor Agency Affiliate (CAAR #CG61389820). She is passionate about creating an environment where individuals feel comfortable to be themselves. She also highly values authentic connections with other people, as she believes it is essential to mental health and overall wellness. Alex wants to pursue a career to help positively rebuild individual’s relationships to movement. This drive to change the script around toxic fitness and movement derives from her personal experiences with movement and mental health struggles.
Prior to Opal, Alex played soccer (football) competitively for 12 years. She has played in various competitive levels from high level youth, to college/ university, and professional. Alex aspires to become a positive impact on the fitness community with a specific interest in the impact coaches can have on their athletes.
Outside of Opal, Alex is an avid music listener, crocheter, and anime watcher.
