Milieu Therapist

Uses She/Her pronouns

Emma is a west coast transplant who is passionate about healing, growth, and mental health care. Emma’s journey in this field began like many other clinicians– as a journey through her own mental health challenges. In college, Emma decided that she wanted to pursue a career as a therapist to support others on their healing path. She is currently in graduate school studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Seattle University. Her focus as a clinician is on connection, deep listening, and being authentic with herself and others.
Emma has spent the past few years understanding and dismantling her own relationship with diet culture and is a strong advocate for intuitive eating and HAES-aligned health care. Emma also seeks to recognize the ways in which she is privileged by being a White and straight-size person, and how that impacts others in this recovery setting and the world beyond.
When she’s not at Opal, Emma can be found sitting in the sun with her cats, engaging in joyful movement, or spending time with loved ones.
